Aristotle on art

"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."

This quote from the Greek philosopher Aristotle, who lived a looong time ago (384 B.C-322 B.C.), could have been said yesterday.

It serves as a reminder that the more things change (in art as in life) the more they stay the same.
